Math

Seventh grade math this year starts with the study of integers.  The concept of absolute value is introduced first along with the four operations.  Properties comes next and order of operations along with powers and laws of exponent.

Each student is responsible for taking clear and concise notes which should be used for homework assignments.  Homework is given to practice skills that are taught during class instruction.  Homework is to be completed for the next class session with all work shown in order to get credit for that particular assignment.  Homework is essential for my evaluation of students understanding. After correction of homework the students have an opportunity to go over problems and  find errors and discuss what went wrong.   Quizzes and chapter tests also play a significant part for grades at the end of each quarter so students need to study.
